GoFlex Storage System by Seagate – Fresh Sight on Common Things
Seagate managed to invent another major evolution in portable hard drives (HDD) – GoFlex Storage System by Seagate.
This time the wind of change brought a true revolution in storage solutions. GoFlex Storage System by Seagate emphasizes the real flexibility as the new storage family includes both portable and desktop external drives. Each fits an array of cable adapters that allow GoFlex Storage System quickly switch to difference interfaces.
Seagate’s new FreeAgent GoFlex design divided external hard drive into two parts, the storage and the cable adapter. The storage part is just the hard drive itself, like any internal SATA hard drive with a protective case. The second part is a small adapter that can be snapped-in tight on the first part to make it a complete external storage solution. The two connect via the standard SATA interface.

GoFlex Storage System by Seagate is created so, that you can you can connect to almost anything! Work with both Microsoft Windows and Mac OS X computers easy with Seagate’s an NTFS driver for Mac OS X on all GoFlex portable and desktop offerings.
Moreover you’ll be able to mix and match accessories on the devices to provide you with the appropriate connections. This means that USB 2.0 drives can be upgraded to USB 3.0, eSATA or FireWire 800 connections – all you’ll do is switch out the connectors. If you ever need a USB connection instead, you just switch adapters.
Additionally, specially-designed GoFlex upgrade cables provide even more applications of how each drive can be used. For example, a very important back up function. The GoFlexTM Upgrade cable – Auto Backup transforms the drive into a continuous full-system backup, leaving the remaining capacity for basic drag-and-drop file transfer.
The new GoFlex family by Seagate also includes two other products, the GoFlex TV HD media player and the GoFlex Net media sharing device.
